But then you got eBay, with “the best deals” on red Goyard tote bags… which, okay, maybe. Depends on what you’re lookin’ for, y’know? It’s eBay, after all. Proceed with caution, my friend.
And then there’s Vestiaire Collective, where you can buy *second-hand* red Goyard handbags. Hmm. Now, I’m not against pre-loved, not at all. Sometimes you can score some serious gems. But with Goyard? You gotta be extra careful, ya feel me? Fakes abound, and some people are tryin’ to pass off anything red and chevron-y as the real deal. It’s kinda sketch.
Speaking of the real deal, there’s the whole “Goyardine coated canvas” thing. Like in the description of that tote bag… “red goyardine coated canvas with the classic Goyard chevron design.” Sounds fancy, right? And it is, in a way. But it’s also… kinda plasticky? Don’t get me wrong, it’s durable, seemingly, but up close, it doesn’t exactly scream “luxury” the way, say, a buttery soft Hermès leather does. Just sayin’. Personal opinion, of course. You might totally dig the texture.

You’re paying for the name, the exclusivity, the *perception* of luxury. And the red, obviously. It’s a bold choice, red Goyard.
I also saw something about a “Goyard Limited Edition Eden Rock Belharra Beach” bag. Which is… very specific. Eden Rock in St. Barths? Okay, I can see the appeal, the whole jet-set vibe. But still… a limited edition tote? It’s all a bit much, isn’t it?
