We see all this stuff about Loewe online, all the “Compre Loewe online!” and the “beautifully crafted in Spain!” and the “minimalist designs never go out of style.” Okay, sure, they *look* amazing. That Loewe Shopper Bag in wicker with leather details? I’m drooling just thinking about it. But seventeen by twenty-two centimeters? Seriously? Is that gonna hold my phone, my wallet, *and* my emergency chocolate stash? I doubt it.
And then you got the whole “hold their value” thing. Which, fine, maybe. But that’s kinda like saying, “Yeah, this car payment sucks now, but in twenty years, it’ll be worth something!” I need a bag *now*, not in some distant future where I’m probably using a holographic teleportation device to get my groceries anyway.
I saw someone talking about a Quince alternative to the Puzzle Bag. Now *that’s* talking. An affordable alternative? Sign me UP! Because let’s face it, a lot of these designer bags…you’re paying for the name. That little Loewe logo. Is that really worth, like, five hundred extra bucks? Maybe to some people. Not me.
And honestly, sometimes the logos are just… too much. Like that person was saying, “Celine and Prada bags *without* logos.” I totally get it! I’d almost be tempted to take a Sharpie and black out the Loewe logo on a bag just to be a little bit more, I dunno, *understated*. Classy. Maybe even… brandless?
Think about it: a brandless Loewe bag. Same quality, same design (mostly), no logo screaming, “LOOK AT ME, I SPENT A MONTH’S RENT ON THIS BAG!” Just… a really nice, well-made bag. I’m telling you, there’s a market for that. Even if it’s just me and my Sharpie.
