First off, I saw this thing online, right? Like, LOEWE scarfs everywhere. Lyst.com throwing around numbers like “427 items on sale,” and then you got Neiman Marcus acting all fancy with their “Skip To Main Content” and “Loewe Bucket” (what even *is* a Loewe bucket, anyway? I digress…).
Then this other site, don’t even ask me which one (honestly, who remembers website names anymore?), was talking about the mohair scarf being a “low entry point” into the brand. Okay, so basically, it’s the *affordable* Loewe. Retailing for $350? Affordable my *butt*. Still, it got me thinking… is it actually worth it?
‘Cause let’s be real, you can get a scarf *anywhere*. I could probably knit one myself, if I wasn’t, you know, chronically online. But this is LOEWE. We’re talking about a brand name. This “low entry point” thing feels like they’re trying to hook you. Is the mohair *actually* good, or are you just paying for that little leather patch they slap on the corner? (Yeah, I saw that “LOEWE leather patch” detail on one of the sites. Sneaky marketing, I tell ya.)
And mohair… ugh, mohair. It’s so itchy sometimes! I had a mohair sweater once, and it was like wearing a cloud of angry kittens. Hopefully, the wool blend helps, but still… It’s making me itch just thinking about it. The 22cm x 185cm size sounds decent though, like you could actually wrap yourself up in it. I guess it’s a plus.
Farfetch claims to have “100s of new season pieces,” which is probably just an exaggeration. But the free shipping and returns thing is tempting, I won’t lie.
