So, first off, I gotta say, the whole concept of CD bags feels a bit… ironic. Like, we’re trying to *protect* something that’s already kinda obsolete. It’s like putting a museum-quality frame around a polaroid picture, ya know? BUT, hear me out.
I was actually scouring the internet the other day (procrastinating, obvi) and saw a bunch of these CD bags. Some fancy schmancy ones, even! Found some described as “Luxury Designer Handbags for Women” alongside, which…okay, that’s a *stretch*. Unless you’re Lady Gaga, I don’t see anyone rocking a Dior CD carrier as a fashion statement. Unless…is that a *thing* now? Fashion, I’m never gonna understand.
Then you get the more practical ones. The “Stock Your Home” kind with the transparent PVC. They sound, like, really useful for, like, organizing. I mean, the main selling point seems to be space saving. “Economiza espaço de armazenamento,” as some site put it (ooh, exotic!). Which, let’s be real, is a HUGE deal. My CD collection is a black hole in my closet. I swear it breeds.
And the claims! “Protects from scratches, dirt, dust, moisture!” Okay, calm down, it’s a CD, not the Ark of the Covenant. Though, I guess if you’re like me and have some seriously rare/collectible CDs (mint condition Spice Girls album, anyone?), then maybe that level of protection is legit.
And some sites are even trying to sell CD bags at the same time as… luxury handbags? Like Christian Dior? What?!
