It’s kinda funny, though, ’cause you see all these ads, right? Galen Leather doing custom leather stuff, YSL wallets for $180 (which, tbh, is still a lot), and then there’s Net-A-Porter slinging Balenciaga mini wallets. It’s all kinda mashed together in my brain. Plus, I saw somethin’ about Carousell SG, which I think is like, a Singaporean eBay or somethin’. It’s all a bit… scattered.
I also saw something about custom badges, though I don’t know how that would go on a wallet, maybe it would be kinda cool, idk.
Anyways, the whole point is: imagine rocking a Balenciaga wallet that’s *specifically* made for you. You could like, get your initials on it, maybe a cool design, or even, like, a tiny lil’ picture of your dog. Okay, maybe that’s too much, but you get the idea.
I saw something about Saks having custom designer stuff, which, let’s be real, probably costs more than my rent. But still! The *idea* is there.
The problem is, actually *finding* someone who can reliably (and affordably!) make a custom Balenciaga wallet seems kinda tough. Like, you see pre-owned Balenciaga wallets everywhere, which is cool if you’re into that, but it’s not quite the same as having something *you* designed.
And then there’s the whole ethical thing. I saw something about a brand being rated “Good” by Good on You. That’s important, right? You don’t want to be flaunting a fancy wallet that was made by exploiting someone. That’s just… not cool.
