I was browsing Reddit the other day (as you do), and saw someone asking about discreet packaging for, you know, *other* types of clothes. Undergarments, specifically. And someone said just to message the seller to make sure it’s, like, properly labelled. Makes sense. But Burberry? You’d think they’d just assume you’d want a big, fancy box with a ribbon. I mean, that’s part of the appeal, isn’t it? The whole unboxing experience.
But then I started thinking. Maybe you *don’t* want your neighbour seeing you lugging a huge Burberry box into your apartment. Maybe you’re trying to, like, surprise someone? Or maybe you’re just, I dunno, feeling a bit low-key and don’t want the attention.
The excerpts mentioned gift packaging with signature boxes and ribbons. So, normally, no, not discreet, BUT! They also mention messaging them! Aha! That’s key.
So, my totally unprofessional and not-at-all-researched opinion is this: Burberry probably doesn’t *automatically* ship in discreet packaging. I mean, look at the descriptions! “Signature Burberry gift box finished with a hand-tied ribbon.” That’s the OPPOSITE of discreet. But! And this is a big but, you can probably… *ask* them to.
Like, when you order, maybe there’s a “notes” section? Or you could contact customer service, like that one Reddit post suggested with other clothes. Just say something like, “Hey, love the item, but could you please ship it in a plain box? Trying to keep it a surprise!” Or, “Discreet packaging appreciated! Thanks!”
Honestly, it’s probably worth a shot. Worst case scenario, you get a fancy box. Which, let’s be real, isn’t the worst thing in the world. I mean, it’s Burberry. Even the *box* probably costs more than my entire outfit right now. *shrugs*
And hey, if you’re REALLY worried, you could always have it delivered to a friend’s house and pick it up later. Or, I don’t know, a PO box? I’m just spitballing here.
