So, like, I saw a bunch of stuff online about it, and lemme tell ya, it’s all over the place. You got the actual TOM FORD Sunglasses for Men, the regular Tom Ford Beauty, the eyewear lines (both men’s and women’s… gotta cover all the bases, I guess!), and then…boom! Guangzhou.
Apparently, Guangzhou is, like, the epicenter of Tom Ford BEAUTY at the moment. They got the WORLD’S LARGEST beauty boutique there. I’m not kidding! It’s so huge, it’s supposedly the brand’s biggest. That’s what they say anyway. Makes you wonder what’s actually *in* there, ya know? Like, does it have a Tom Ford-themed cafe? Do they sell like, diamond-encrusted lipsticks or something? I NEED TO KNOW.
And then there’s this Shu Qi thing… apparently she’s now a “Tom Ford Beauty attaché” for China and the Asia-Pacific region. Attache? Is that like a fancy ambassador or something? Anyway, she’s a Chinese actress, so I guess that makes sense. Good for her! Get that Tom Ford money, girl!
But the real kicker is, it seems like Guangzhou gets all the good stuff first. I read something about a new lipstick line being released THERE first. The “全新璀璨流光细白管唇膏系列” whatever that is, like, you probably can’t even pronounce it unless you speak Chinese! And they got the fancy custom engraving on those leather cushion compact things. Talk about bougie.
It’s interesting, because I always thought of Tom Ford as, you know, kinda American-ish, but now it feels like it’s really embracing the China thing. Which, let’s be honest, is where the money is. I guess even Tom Ford can’t resist the allure of the Chinese market.
Honestly, this whole thing feels a bit…scattered. Like, they’re pushing everything into this one city. It’s cool, I guess, but also kinda weird. You’d think they’d spread the love a little bit, but hey, what do I know? I’m just sitting here, writing about it, wishing I could afford a single Tom Ford lipstick (let alone travel to Guangzhou to see the giant store). Sigh. One day.
