I gotta say, Chanel. They’re *always* doing something, aren’t they? You think you’ve seen it all, you’ve finally saved up for that classic flap, and BAM! They drop something like this Mirror Image wallet thingy. And I’m kinda digging it, I won’t lie.
I saw some stuff online, you know, some people were saying it sold out, like, *immediately*. Which, duh, it’s Chanel. But the colors they had? Apparently, lots. I mean, *lots*. And silver goatskin leather? Sounds kinda cool, right? Fancy, even. I mean, my usual wallet is, like, basically falling apart from being shoved in my jeans pocket for years, so… a *little* bit of an upgrade would be nice, to say the least.
Okay, so, here’s the thing that got me thinking about it in the first place. I was browsing some rep sites (don’t judge!), okay? Trying to find a, uh, “Chanel inspired” wallet that wouldn’t break the bank. ‘Cause let’s be real, who can *actually* afford a real Chanel wallet every season? Nobody I know. And then I saw a bunch of stuff about the Wallet on Chain, the WOC, which is, like, a wallet but also a bag, kinda? And that got me wondering about the Mirror Image one, and if there were, you know, good… replicas out there.
I’ve seen the leather chain shoulder strap thing, it looks kinda cool, and I think it’s probably a little better if you want to buy the bag, or if you just want to have it in your hand, that’s my opinion.
And then I was like, “Wait, is it just a normal wallet…but shiny?” ‘Cause that’s the impression I got. Like, they took a normal wallet, slapped on a mirror-ish finish, and said, “Okay, that’s a new thing. Charge $3000.”
Okay, okay, I’m being cynical. It’s probably really well-made. I mean, it’s Chanel. But still, the price tag… ouch. I saw something about a classic chain wallet made of the leather, so I’m guessing it’s just a shiny upgrade to that, if that makes sense.
Honestly, I’m torn. I kinda want one. The allure of Chanel is strong, you know? But my bank account is screaming at me. Maybe I’ll just stick with my beat-up wallet for now and keep dreaming. Or, you know, scour those rep sites a little harder. No judgement, okay? We all do it! lol.
