First off, the price. Ugh. Don’t even get me started. These things aren’t exactly cheap. I saw on Chrono24, they’re talkin’ like 10,200 USD for a new one. Entry-level, they say! ENTRY-LEVEL! My bank account just spontaneously combusted a little bit. Seriously though, that’s a lotta dough for a watch. But hey, it’s a Rolex, right? You’re buyin’ more than just the time; you’re buyin’ a status symbol, a legacy, blah blah blah. You know the drill.

And then there’s the whole “actually getting your hands on one” part. Good luck with that. I read somewhere that the Submariner is like, *the* most coveted dive watch ever since, like, forever. Apparently, you gotta get in line. Like, a *really* long line. It’s probably shorter to climb Mount Everest, tbh.

I also saw some stuff about buyin’ ’em from AuthenticWatches.com. Sounds legit, I guess. They claim to have the lowest prices online. *Claims*. I always take that kinda stuff with a grain of salt. There’s always some catch, isn’t there? Like, maybe it’s “new” but it’s been sitting in a vault for 20 years, or maybe it has some weird scratch nobody tells you about. Just sayin’, do your research, people!

Oh, and Goldsmiths sells ’em too, apparently. They’re “Official Authorised Retailers,” so that’s probably a safer bet. But expect to pay full price, of course. And still, probably wait in line.

Honestly, the whole experience sounds exhausting. But I get it. That Submariner is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. I saw some listings for “2025 Submariner Date 126610LN” on Chrono24. Sounds fancy, huh? I bet that thing’s got all the bells and whistles.

But here’s my personal opinion: are they *really* worth all the hassle and the money? I mean, yeah, they’re cool. But you could buy a decent used car for that price! Or, you know, pay rent for a year. Maybe I’m just being practical (read: broke), but I’m not entirely convinced.

Then again… that little voice in the back of my head is whispering, “Submariner… Submariner…” Damn you, Rolex! You got me thinkin’ about it now. Maybe I’ll just start saving… *Maybe*.
