First off, you see Bulgari (or BVLGARI, because they’re fancy like that) and you immediately think of, well, the *logo*. It’s plastered everywhere, right? On their jewellery, their bags, even just reading about ’em online, you’re bombarded with the Bulgari logo. There’s a whole thing about the history of the logo and how it’s changed a bunch of times since, like, the 1910s. Who knew?! Apparently Sotirios Boulgaris (the founder) was born way back in 1857. Talk about a legacy!
Then you see some listings… like this one for a “BVLGARI Bulgari belt TC-0220” and it mentions “a scratch on the buckle.” A *scratch*?! On a Bulgari buckle?! The horror! And then there’s another mentioning that the logo emphasizes connection to history… Which makes the whole “no logo” thing even more confusing.
But okay, let’s hypothetically say we’re talking about a Bulgari belt that’s… minimalist. Like, super low-key. Maybe the logo is *tiny*. Or maybe it’s on the inside, where nobody can see it. Is that even a thing? Probably not.
Honestly, I think the whole point of Bulgari IS the logo. I mean, you’re paying for the brand, right? You’re paying for the status. You’re paying for people to *recognize* that you’re wearing Bulgari. If you take away the logo, what are you even left with? Just…leather? And a buckle? I mean, you could probably get a pretty similar belt from, like, Target, for way less.
The only way I can really see a “no logo” Bulgari belt working is if it’s, like, a really, really subtle texture. Maybe some embossed pattern that, if you *really* squint, kinda looks like the Bulgari logo but isn’t? I dunno. It’s a stretch.
And then there’s the Alexander Wang x Bvlgari thing… a belt bag! Now we’re talkin’! But, yep, the logo’s probably all over *that* too.
